I am feeling that my time in San Diego will be complete around the end of April. North feels like the correct direction to travel next. I’m grateful Autumn and I were able to live in a garden over the winter in San Diego. It was the best climate for us and provided important lessons for each of us on our journey.
I don’t know what it looks like to go North, or why North feels correct, or exactly when we will leave. Some part of me wants to be living immersed in the jungle, swimming in the warm Pacific while eating coconuts, mangoes, and miracle fruit - that part of me is disappointed that we are not going South. However, the prospect of being among large trees and flowing rivers during the summer fills me with anticipation.
I love the nature in Oregon and the thought of potentially visiting there again, this time with Autumn and Joplyn, is exhilarating. I’m not sure we’ll end up quite that far this year, but it’s nice to imagine it.
Coincidentally, we seem to be leaving and staying at places for the same period of time. So I guess this may be a rhythm for us. Our rhythm being: Stay in one home/environment from early November - end of April, then travel between many homes May to November. I am curious if this pattern will continue beyond this year, and if it will be even more exact. Which would mean living at one home for May - August and another home August - October before settling somewhere else November - April.
